8 Attacked In Random Stabbing Spree In Colorado Springs
A man went on a stabbing spree in Colorado Springs, leaving eight people hospitalized, police said.
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — A man is in custody after he stabbed eight people in random attacks early Monday morning in Colorado Springs, police said.
Police were called to 8th and Limit streets around 1:30 a.m., where they found two people injured with stab wounds. The officers were told that the attacker, a man, had taken off onto a trail through America the Beautiful Park, where police found more people suffering from stab wounds.
Police were then called to Tejon and Boulder streets around 2:10 a.m., where officers found that more people had been stabbed, authorities said. Some of the victims were holding the man until the officers arrived, police said, and he was arrested.

Police said eight people were hospitalized with stab wounds. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
There is no known relationship between the man and the people he attacked, authorities said, and the attacks are believed to have been random.
