🌱 CSPD Arrests Burglar + Homeless Outreach Focuses On Safety

  1. Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested a suspected burglar. Officers responded to a home near 11th Street and Pikes Peak Avenue after a resident found an unknown individual inside their home. Police took the burglar into custody and identified the individual as Crystina DeMarco. (KKTV 11 News)
  2. Colorado Springs Police Homeless Outreach Team will focus on safety instead of citations during the upcoming winter storm. Six officers are dedicated to the Homeless Outreach Team that is tasked with providing resources to the homeless and to enforce ordinances. The Team is worried about frostbite and hypothermia while working with medical teams or local shelters. (KRDO)
  3. A video of an Acura SUV using the ramps of a Colorado Springs skatepark has been posted on social media. The SUV is shown popping wheelies and driving down ramps at the Memorial Park skate park. A Colorado Springs spokesperson notifies the community that any damage to the skate park could result in criminal mischief charges and tickets. (KRDO)
