Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:
- The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred inside a residence this past weekend. The incident happened at the 2700 block of Bentley Point where 33-year-old Justin Hall was found deceased. Colorado Springs Police have ruled the death a homicide but no arrests have been made in connection to the investigation. (Press Release Desk)
- The City of Colorado Springs announced they will not be opening any warming centers in response to the winter storm. Officials point to Spring Rescue Mission as an alternative to those who are seeking shelter. The city has said they will re-evaluate as the situation develops or if there is a widespread power outage. (KRDO)
- The Colorado Springs city council has voted to approve $175,000 in a settlement related to an incident that occurred during the George Floyd protests.
