Boat Sinks In Lake Pueblo: Recovery Crews Search For Victims
Recovery teams suspended their search for one, or possibly two, people seen on a sinking boat in Lake Pueblo Monday. Efforts resume Tuesday.

PUEBLO, CO -- Divers and rescuers searched Lake Pueblo Monday afternoon for signs of a boat that sank near the lake's north shore with one or two people aboard. The rescue mission was updated to a recovery mission, in the afternoon, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson said.
A shoreline fisherman saw what was described as a small aluminum boat go under near the marina.
"They did see a boat and they did hear a bang, and then the boat was underwater fairly quickly after that," said Monique Mullis, the park manager at Lake Pueblo State Park told KKTV.

Search crews planned to use a "high-powered sonar radar from Denver" when the recovery efforts continue Tuesday morning, KKTV said.
