Spirit of the South

Join us as we celebrate the opening of Spirit of the South, a special exhibition presented by the Mobile Arts Council in collaboration with Cottonwood Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This juried exhibition showcases artwork by Mobile Arts Council Artist Members that explores the unique character, culture, history, and beauty of the Gulf Coast and the American South. Through painting, photography, mixed media, and more, participating artists share personal perspectives on what it means to live and create in this region.

This exhibition invites viewers to experience the South beyond familiar stereotypes by exploring its diverse landscapes, traditions, people, and stories. At a time when our nation often feels divided, Spirit of the South celebrates the power of art to foster understanding, spark conversation, and build meaningful connections across regions.
