This marks the 10th year CAPS, the Colorado Springs Police and Fire Department, the Downtown Partnership, the Old Colorado City Partnership, and merchants and small business owners have partnered together to assist residents and guests. These specially trained public safety advocates provide helpful information on shopping, dining, and entertainment venues while also serving as the extra eyes and ears for the community. 2. The Colorado Springs Police Department is searching for a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run that injured a motorcyclist Thursday afternoon. The vehicle is described as a light green 2005 STS Cadillac with a Colorado license plate BSUW67.(KKTV 11 News)
3. After the COVID-19 pandemic restricted last year's free community dinner by the Salvation Army to carry out food only, the return of indoor dining this year made the annual holiday event feel more normal. (KRDO)
