Here are the top stories in Colorado Springs today:

  1. Dr. Moma Health & Wellness Clinic in Colorado Springs was terminated Friday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Vaccination Program. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) suspended the clinic's participation in the program on April 9, 2021, after being notified of irregularities in vaccine storage and handling, vaccine administration documentation and post-vaccination observation practices. (9News.com KUSA)
  2. A former Amazon warehouse employee has filed a class action lawsuit against the company, claiming it failed to pay her and thousands of other hourly workers for time spent taking COVID screenings on the job. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Amazon began requiring health screenings for all workers before clocking in. The screenings included questions about symptoms and a temperature check and could take 20-60 minutes, for which employees were not paid. (Colorado Public Radio)
  3. The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) completed a pavement rehabilitation project to its west runway after beginning construction in May 2021. (KKTV 11 News)
  4. A section of Airport Road over Spring Creek will close to all traffic starting Thursday, Oct. 14 through the spring of 2022, weather dependent, as the City of Colorado Springs continues work to rebuild the Spring Creek Bridge, which is located in the southeast part of the city. (Press Release Desk)
  5. Part of S. Nevada Avenue was closed Thursday night for a deadly stabbing investigation. Police say an unknown man fled the scene on foot and has not yet been identified. (KKTV 11 News)
