Colo. Springs Cops Arrest 4 In Hotel Armed Robbery
An internet encounter gone wrong at the Baymont Inn & Suites led to guests beaten and robbed at gunpoint in their room, police said.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs Police said that they have taken four people into custody after an early-morning incident Friday at a Springs hotel where guests were robbed at gunpoint in their room. Police said a woman and her friend at the Baymont Inn & Suites, at 1055 Kelly Johnson Blvd., had arranged to meet someone through an internet site "commonly used for criminal activity." Police allege the victim knew one of the attackers, since she had previously sold them narcotics.
According to police, one suspect let three others into the hotel through a back door.
"Once in the room, the victims were struck in the head with a handgun and robbed at gunpoint," the police statement said. Suspects allegedly fled with personal items and the victim's car, police said.
