COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- One person was arrested in connection with a double-shooting that killed a man and a woman found dead in a parked car in Colorado Springs, police said. Police said they were investigating a call around 12:39 p.m. on Pacer Lane, when witnesses told them a shooting had taken place on the west side of Colorado Springs, but didn't specify where. "With little specificity about the location and/or details, Gold Hill officers started searching a large area in the foothills of Colorado Springs," police said in a statement. At 9:20 p.m., police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Lower Gold Camp Road parked near the Bear Creek Dog Park. Two people were found dead inside the car. Both appeared to have been shot.
