  1. According to Livability.com, Colorado Springs ranks high in the top 100 best places to live in America at number nine. The list is compiled based on surveys, studies, and an algorithm. The data analyzed more than 1,000 small to mid-sized cities on factors like safety, affordability, economic stability, outdoor recreation, accessibility, and community engagement. (KRDO)
  2. A group of Colorado engineers are working to develop a way to safely recycle water from toilets back into drinking water. Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) has partnered with the Colorado School of the Mines and Carollo Engineers to create innovative mobile technology that purifies recycled wastewater to drinking water levels. With a limited water supply in the Colorado Springs area, CSU believes this is eventually the future of some, but not all of your drinking water. (KRDO)
  3. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado says a grand jury in Denver indicted 21-year-old Nathaniel Corser of Colorado Springs with a charge of distributing fentanyl, which resulted in death. (KKTV 11 News)
  4. Torchy's Taco, the popular "Austin-based craft fast-casual taco brand," is set to open on Wednesday, Oct. 20 joining existing restaurants in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins. (KKTV 11 News)
