Colorado Springs City Council Approves Land Exchange To Expand Coleman Community Park
The exchange expands the park to a 77.5-acre site. The park will undergo a master planning process later this year funded by voter.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Colorado Springs City Council unanimously approved a land exchange on April 28 that will expand Coleman Community Park, which is located in the northeast part of the city off of Tutt Avenue and Barnes Road. The exchange grants the city 23.5 acres of the Springs Ranch Golf Course in exchange for the same size parcel of vacant property, known as the Tutt Sports Complex.

Coleman Park currently houses the Switchbacks and Vibes sports teams and allows for various sporting activities and events. The exchange expands the park to a 77.5-acre site. The park will undergo a master planning process later this year funded by voter-approved ballot initiative 2B.
Classic Homes is under contract to purchase the Springs Ranch Golf Course. The residential development proposal is in the earliest stages of the development planning process.
