Colorado Springs City To Observe Christmas Eve, Christmas And New Year’s Day Holidays
The club will also commemorate Colorado Springs' sesquicentennial birthday at 9 p.m.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The following City of Colorado Springs administrative and elected administrative offices and agencies will be fully closed Thursday and Friday (Dec. 24-25) and Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Day:

- Administrative offices for Mountain Metropolitan Transit
- City Administration Building
- City Clerk
- City Hall
- Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (temporarily closed since Nov. 28)
- Deerfield, Hillside, Meadows Park and Otis Community Centers
- Helen Hunt Falls Visitors Center (closed for season)
- Municipal Court
- Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building
- Patty Jewett Golf Course (closed Dec. 25 only)
- Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain (closed Dec. 25 only)
- Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site
- Sales Tax Office
- Sports Office and Therapeutic Recreation Program at Memorial Park
- Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center
- Valley Hi Golf Course (closed Dec. 25 only)
The following will remain open during these holidays, though some have shortened operating hours as noted below:
- Garden of the Gods Park: open
- Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain:
- Closed Dec. 25
- Open Dec. 24 and Jan. 1, weather permitting, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Call (719) 385-7325 for the most current weather conditions.
- Evergreen and Fairview cemeteries: gates are open to visitors, offices are closed
- Sertich Ice Center:
- Masks are required and rooms are limited to 10 people
- Dec. 24: public skate from 1:15-2:45 p.m.
- Dec. 31: public skate from 1:15-2:45 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m.
- Jan. 1: public skate from 12-1:30 p.m. and 3:30-5 p.m.
- Skate in the Park presented by Academy Bank at Acacia Park in Downtown Colorado Springs:
- Online reservations are required; tickets can be purchased at DowntownCS.com/Skate.
- Dec. 24 and 31: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Dec. 25: closed
- Jan. 1: 1-9 p.m.
- Patty Jewett and Valley Hi municipal golf courses:
- Online reservations and payment required
- Dec. 24, 31: opens at 9 a.m.; last 18-hole tee time is 10 a.m., last 9-hole tee time is noon

- Jan. 1: opens at 11 a.m.

At the stroke of midnight on Dec. 31, the Pikes Peak AdAmAn Club will present a fireworks show from the summit of Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain. The club will also commemorate Colorado Springs’ sesquicentennial birthday at 9 p.m. by launching 150 shells into the night sky from the summit as a symbol of the 150 years since Colorado Springs was established.
