April 13, 2020
Our city’s history has shown that caring for our urban forest is an important part of growing a sustainable, healthy and vibrant city. To continue this legacy, City Forestry is teaming with community members to develop an Urban Forest Management Plan. This plan will reflect a shared vision and road map for the future of trees in Colorado Springs.

We invite you to share your preferences about our trees in a brief online survey. The results will help guide the development of the city’s Urban Forest Management Plan. To take the survey and watch a video presentation about the planning process, visit www.coloradosprings.gov/ufmp.
In other tree news, if you’re planning to plant a tree this spring or planted one last year, please add it to our Tree Challenge – a citywide goal to plant 18,071 trees by the end of 2021. The challenge is a fun way to celebrate our city’s 150th anniversary and grow our green infrastructure. The tree tracker and tree care tips are available at www.coloradosprings.gov/tree150.
