Colorado Springs Invited To Learn About Infrastructure Improvements Near Garden Of Gods Park

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The public is invited to learn about several infrastructure improvements that will take place in the Garden of the Gods Park area through Fall 2021.

What: Garden of the Gods Area Improvements Open House

When: Thursday, Sept. 19 – 5:30-7 p.m.

Where: Conservation and Environment Center

2855 Mesa Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

The City of Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Utilities are partnering to make improvements to Garden of the Gods Road, Mesa Road and 30th Street.

Utility infrastructure improvements and paving/resurfacing work began mid-August 2019 and continues through spring 2020.

Additionally, the planned widening of 30th Street, between Mesa Road and Fontanero Street, along with the installation of a roundabout at Gateway Road, is currently in design with a public meeting anticipated this fall. The utility and resurfacing work is in advance of the widening project. Construction of the widening project is anticipated to begin spring 2020 and be completed by fall 2021.

Attendees can learn about work to carefully phase roadway work throughout the project area, what travelers can expect and work that will take place on each roadway.
