Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:
- Colorado Springs Police Department officers responded to a disturbance and found a deceased female at the 6600 block of Bugle Dr. Responding officers tried to perform life-saving techniques on the victim but were unsuccessful, according to the department. The cause of death will be determined by the El Paso County Coroner's Office and the department will perform an investigation. (Press Release Desk)
- Travelers will experience high parking rates for their vehicles at the Colorado Springs Airport. The rates will increase starting Mar. 1 and airport officials have detailed the specific increases based on the duration of the parking. The increased prices are to pay for improvements to the parking system and to afford maintenance costs of the lot. (KRDO)
- Construction job availability saw an increase in the Colorado Springs metro area. The increase of three percent was reported from the Associated General Contractors of America through 2021 data. Reportedly, Colorado Springs gained roughly 600 jobs in mining, logging, and construction last year. (Colorado Springs Business Journal)
