Crews To Repair Sinkhole After Stormwater Pipe Fails

All the rain from last week’s storms caused a city-owned stormwater pipe that runs under the Chapel Hills Mall to fail, leaving behind this large sinkhole in the northwest area of the mall.

The City’s Operations and Maintenance Division is coordinating work to repair the sinkhole and secure the area until it’s fixed next week. Repairs will be made using emergency funding available through the Stormwater Enterprise that helps the City repair urgent stormwater issues that need to be addressed quickly.
