🌱 Driver Shuts Down I-25 + Road Conditions Improve

  1. A wrong-way driver shut down northbound I-25 for hours after colliding with another vehicle on Sunday. Witnesses told police they saw a van traveling southbound in the northbound lanes just before crashing into a Dodge Charger. The wreck happened at the Cimarron exit (141) just after 2:20 a.m. (KKTV 11 News)
  2. On Saturday, drivers were asked to avoid the area of Rampart Range Road and Loy Creek Road in El Paso County amid black ice and snowpack dangers. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has sanded the affected roadway and, as of Sunday morning, EPSO Dispatch is not receiving additional reports of stranded motorists in the area.   3. Small Business Saturday is officially underway in downtown Colorado Springs as a program meant to encourage shoppers to patronize local businesses. (FOX21News.com)
  4. Colorado Springs Fire officials have an important message after a fire broke out at a house on the 1000 block of Clemson Drive in eastern Colorado Springs on Saturday. The cause was determined to be an unattended cigarette. (KKTV 11 News)
