Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:
- Colorado Springs home construction in the first quarter of 2022 is reportedly off to a fantastic start. According to the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, 1,159 permits were issued for the construction of single-family homes throughout the county. This is one of the best starts the area has seen in the last 20 years. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- The Colorado Springs Police Department is conducting an investigation into a crash that occurred near N. Union Boulevard and De Paul Street. The crash happened Monday afternoon and closed part of the major intersection. Updates will be released as the incident develops. (KKTV)
- A small plane crashed at El Paso County's Meadow Lake Airport on Sunday. According to the sheriff's office, two adults and a child were injured during the accident. All three victims were transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. A full investigation is being conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration. (Lamar Ledger)
