COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs police announced Tuesday that an arrest had been made in connection with a fatal shooting. The CSPD Facebook page said that Arquinn Deandre Stafford, 36, was arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of 30-year-old Benjamin Lee Sharkey. Sharkey was found Jan. 7 around 7:20 p.m. with a gunshot wound in the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/notes/colorado-springs-police-department/death-investigation-100-block-of-west-motor-way/1981872248496627/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">100 block of West Motor Way,</a> Springs police said on Facebook. Colorado Springs Fire Dept. attempted life saving measures, but were unsuccessful and Sharkey was pronounced dead at the scene.Police said the Violent Crime Homicide /Assault Unit and Tactical Enforcement Unit arrested Stafford on Jan. 30. Police did not release a photo of Stafford. The investigation is ongoing.
