🌱 Man Arrested For Taking Gun To Nightclub + MLK Bypass Reopen

Here are the top 3 stories in Colorado Springs today:

  1. About 4,000 apartment units were approved to be built in the Pikes Peak Region in 2021. Almost 25 percent of the apartment are downtown, which is a record-breaking number of apartments. Colorado Springs saw more than 145 percent in new apartment housing since 2020. (KRDO)
  2. A man was arrested after police say he was involved in a "verbal disturbance" and brought a gun to a Colorado Springs nightclub. At about 2 a.m. Friday near North Tejon Street and East Del Norte Street, police responded to a call and saw Allen Carley take a handgun from a parked vehicle. Carley was charged with possession of weapons by a previous offender and was taken to the Criminal Justice Center. (KKTV 11 News)
  3. At about 9:45 p.m. Thursday night, MLK Bypass was shut down in both directions for a police investigation. The road reopened around 4:45 a.m. Friday. Police say they were investigating a shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries. (KKTV 11 News)
