Here are the top stories today in Colorado Springs:
- A Colorado Springs man was arrested after police say he assaulted his wife and shot himself early Saturday morning. Police say they responded to reports of a shooting just after 1:30 a.m. to find a man who suffered injuries from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Upon investigation, police learned the man had physically assaulted his wife. Both husband and wife were brought to the hospital. The man was arrested on suspicion of assault, menacing and child abuse. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- The driver responsible for seriously injuring a cyclist in Colorado Springs on Friday reportedly turned himself into police shortly after the incident. Police reported to a crash which happened at about 2:45 p.m. along Uintah just west of I-25. Investigators believe a small black SUV hit the cyclist while merging. (KKTV 11 News)
- Several local organizations and families gathered in recognition of National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. (FOX21News.com)
- A man wearing no shoes or shirt jumped onto a car at the intersection of Buchanan Street and North Cascade Avenue on Friday night and assaulted the driver through the sunroof. (KRDO)
