Colo. Springs VA Lockdown: 'Rifle' Turns Out To Be BB Gun
Colorado Springs police locked down a VA clinic after a man was observed nearby with what looked like a rifle.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- A man carrying a BB gun caused police to alert a Colorado Springs VA building to go on lockdown Monday afternoon. The man was walking through an open space area carrying what looked like a rifle, police told KKTV.
The lockdown occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday at the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom Outpatient Clinic on 3141 Centennial Blvd, the station reported.
Police told the station holes people often congregate in the open space area behind the VA clinic. It's possible the man with the BB gun was homeless, they said.
