Man Found Shot Dead In Colorado Springs Apartment

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Police are investigating a homicide of a man found fatally shot Wednesday in east Colorado Springs.

Around 9:10 p.m., officers were summoned to an apartment building in the 100 block of South Academy Boulevard for a report of shots fired, a police statement said. They found a deceased man in an apartment.

The department's Violent Crimes Section is conducting the investigation, and "are interviewing multiple witnesses and processing the crime scene. Investigators are actively seeking to identify suspects," the police said.

The identity of the victim was not released.
