Man Injured In Colorado Springs Police Shooting
Dennis Caldarelli, 50, was shot and injured by a Colorado Springs police officer after allegedly barricading himself during a domestic call.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- The El Paso County Deadly Force Investigation Team will be investigating an incident where a Colorado Springs officer shot and injured an armed man involved in a domestic dispute.
On Feb. 9, officers were summoned to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of North Cascade Avenue. A man, later identified as Dennis Caldarelli, 50, had barricaded himself in the residence. When he came out of the home, Caldarelli was holding an unspecified weapon, a report from the El Paso County Sheriff's Dept. said.
Officer Vijay Seenath shot and wounded Caldarelli, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds. No officers were wounded.

Seenath joined the Colorado Springs Police Dept. in 2012, the department said.
Caldarelli was booked into the El Paso County Jail on charges of intimidation of a witness or victim and false imprisonment.
