Man Sought In BB-Gun Damage To 13 Colorado Springs Cars

Police announced a warrant for a man accused of vandalism of 13 cars in November.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs police announced an arrest warrant for a man accused of a November BB-gun shooting spree. James Joseph Gile, 40, was identified as the man observed in surveillance video shooting out the windows of 13 parked cars in and near the 4500 block of Misty Drive in November, 2017. Police used private surveillance video from houses where cars were damaged to identify Gile, and a car he was in, over several months.

Police announced a warrant for Gile for criminal mischief.

"Mr. Gile is not known to be a threat to the community," police said in a statement.
