- The man who shot and critically wounded a Colorado Springs police officer in August 2018 was sentenced on Thursday to 45 years in prison. The officer was shot in the head while trying to apprehend a suspect east of downtown Colorado Springs. The man was charged with shooting the officer as well as assault with a deadly weapon, felony menacing, and illegal possession of a weapon. (9News.com KUSA)
- On Thursday, the Colorado Department of Transportation announced that Bustang is to resume its commuter route from Colorado Springs to Monument and the Denver Tech Center. Bustang suspended this route in March 2020 due to low ridership during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting Monday, the route will run four times per weekday. Passengers and drivers are required to wear face masks at all times, per federal transit requirements. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- A man in Colorado Springs is charged with being part of a crime ring that stole over $400,000 worth of fuel. (CBS Denver)
