Hey, people of Colorado Springs! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Colorado Springs Daily.

Mild with plenty of sunshine. High: 59 Low: 37.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Colorado Springs:

  1. A new Colorado Springs restaurant is pursuing a take-out only approach to keep up with COVID trends. Mici Handcrafted Italian recently opened a new location on Union Boulevard in north Colorado Springs, but unlike the other locations, this one is takeout only. Miceli anticipates other restaurants will follow suit, reaping the benefits of cheaper rent in a smaller space and less maintenance. (KRDO)
  2. An unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a SUV in Colorado Springs on Sunday afternoon. Police say the rider was traveling southbound on Powers and hit the driver's side of the SUV while passing through the intersection with Hancock Expressway. Speeding, drinking, and drugs are not suspected factors in the collision. (KKTV 11 News)
  3. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's 31st annual Electric Safari is running through Jan. 1st. Attendees will enjoy lit trees, structures, and sculptures, installed by Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's grounds team over four months. Members and their accompanying paying guests are granted early admission with a reserved ticket from 4 to 5 p.m. (KRDO)
