Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:
- A new outdoor music venue in Colorado Springs called The Sunset has been announced. The venue will cost $40 million and will be able to seat 8,000 music lovers at the location near North Gate Boulevard. The new venue is expected to open next year and will be an exciting addition to the area's music culture. (CBS Denver)
- Colorado Springs is working on a new housing project that will reportedly use 80 percent less energy than a traditional home. The project by Hyperlocal Workshop uses prefabricated panels and will reportedly take only three days to complete. The first construction begins on Monday at Columbia Court with a 2,400 square foot home. (KRDO)
- A sudden grass fire has displaced several South Colorado Springs families. The fire started overnight and was pushed by strong winds in the Fountain Boulevard and Aeroplaza area on Sunday. Local fire crews contained the blaze after it consumed roughly three acres of land. (KKTV)
