Security Road Rage Incident: 3 Guns On Biker Who Shot At Car

Randall Hamilton allegedly fired shots at an SUV with two children inside after a road-rage fight with their father in a parking lot.

SECURITY, CO -- A motorcyclist who shot at a family car with child passengers during a road-rage incident in Security had three guns on his person, the El Paso Sheriff's Office said. No one was injured in the April 5 shooting, which shattered glass on the family members in an SUV as it sped away from a parking lot of a tavern in the 1800 block of Main Street.

A couple told police they and their two children were driving on Highway 85/87 in Fountain, when Randall Hamilton, 51, riding a motorcycle, allegedly cut them off and continued "driving erratically towards Security," a statement from the sheriff's office said.

When Hamilton pulled his bike into the parking lot, the SUV followed, police said. The driver of the SUV "got out of his vehicle to confront [Hamilton] and a physical altercation ensued," the sheriff's office said.

As the couple got back into their vehicle, Hamilton allegedly pulled out a gun and fired shots into the back and driver's side of the SUV as it was leaving the parking lot.

Around 8:07 p.m. a sheriff's deputy on patrol heard shots and arrived at the bar. Witnesses pointed out Hamilton, still in the parking lot, and said he had been shooting at a white SUV. The deputy recovered three firearms from Hamilton.
