- A stolen construction vehicle caused havoc on West Colorado Avenue Friday morning, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The stolen vehicle was driven into multiple businesses in the 2600 block. The department estimates that the incident caused $100,000 worth of damage. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- A Colorado Springs mother is encouraging the community to donate blood this Mother's Day. Nicole Hall's life was saved after 48 units of blood and plasma were used during her baby's childbirth. She is encouraging the community to donate blood to give others a second chance at life. (KRDO)
- The annual Run To The Shrine event has a waddling African penguin for a mascot this year. The run is hosted by the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and is currently sold out. Runners will be running the four-mile course through the zoo while experiencing breathtaking views of Colorado Springs. (Press Release Desk)
