Toddler Shot After Gun Fired In Neighboring Springs Apartment
A neighbor was arrested after firing a gun into an adjacent apartment in Colorado Springs and injuring a baby girl.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs police said a one-year-old girl was struck by a random bullet fired from a gun in a neighboring apartment Tuesday night. Police reported they arrived after a report of shots fired around 10:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Bell Tower Ht. Officers found the injured girl had been struck in the "lower extremities," according to a police statement. Medical personnel transported her to a local hospital where her injuries were determined to be "serious but non-life-threatening wounds."
Officers determined the shot was fired from an adjoining apartment, and the inhabitants of that unit were taken into custody. Jair Isaza, 26, was charged with illegal discharge of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
This is an open investigation, the police said.
