  1. The Colorado Springs Fire Department is reminding the community to turn on emergency alerts as the city enters into wildfire season. The department is spreading awareness that a cell phone could potentially save lives during a wildfire. One account can register eight phone numbers at five different locations. (KRDO)
  2. Triumph Capital Group is planning to develop a 265,274 square foot distribution facility near Powers Boulevard and Platte Avenue. The development group submitted the proposal to Colorado Springs officials after paying $4.2 million for the facility's property. The new facility will provide warehouse space to e-commerce businesses that seek to ship goods to customers quickly. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  3. An early Wednesday shooting in the 3500 block of Soap Weed Road has left one man wounded and a cat dead. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident that reportedly left four homes with gunfire damage. The victim was likely struck with fragments from a bullet but did not need assistance traveling to a local hospital. (KKTV)
