2 Dead In 'Unconnected' Colorado Springs Shootings
Colorado Springs police reported two men were found with gunshot wounds Sunday near West Motor Way and in the 3800 block of Astrozon Blvd.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Colorado Springs police announced on social media that two men had been killed in separate Sunday evening shootings.
The first shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. in the 100 block of West Motor Way, Springs police said on Facebook. Police responders found a male with a gun shot wound, police said. Colorado Springs Fire Dept. attempted life saving measures, but were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the second instance, police responded to a call around 7:50 that a man was wounded in a parking lot in the 3800 block of Astrozon Boulevard. Police found the shooting victim, who was taken to a local hospital, but died of his injuries Sunday night.

The El Paso Co. Coroner has not identified the victim in either incident. Both of these incidents are under investigation as homicides, the Colorado Springs Police said.
"The shootings are unconnected," said Springs PD Spokesman Lt. Howard Black.
