Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:

  1. The Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested Leo Marcus Sterling, 39, on four counts of sexual assault. The incidents happened between May 2020 and February 2022 in the Colorado Springs area. Sterling was in the military from 2003 to 2015 and was stationed throughout the United States. Anyone with information related to Sterling is being instructed to contact the department. (FOX21News.com)
  2. KRDO NewsChannel 13 is researching the state of Colorado city snow removal budgets. The investigative reporting is occurring as the region enters spring. The news channel provided its full report on the Colorado Springs budget at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Click the link to view the report. (KRDO)
  3. A new report issued by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has Colorado Springs' unemployment rate recovering faster than other Colorado cities. Colorado Springs' unemployment rate was at 4.1 percent which is significantly lower than last year's 6.9 percent. The report does highlight the increased cost associated to that low unemployment rate due to the labor shortage that the pandemic has caused. (KOAA News 5)
