Here are the top 3 stories in Colorado Springs today:

1. A water main break shut down a major Colorado Spring intersection on Sunday. At about 11 p.m. Saturday, a water break was reported at the intersection of Circle Drive and Galley Road. Nearby residents may experience water and pressure problems while crews are working on repairs. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
2. Four Colorado Springs businesses were victims of burglaries and robbers in the span of 90 minutes. At about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, the crime spring started at smoke and hookah shop on the southwest side, then smash-and-grabs were reported at two Valero gas stations and a 7-Eleven. Police are investigating if the crimes are connected. (KKTV 11 News)
3. A man was sentenced to 32 years in prison after taking a plea deal for the bus crash in Black Forest. Police say Daihauonzadre Brooks-Jones is responsible for a deadly bus crash after stealing a passenger bus in Aurora and then crashing it on Highway 83 in 2020. Two people were killed and multiple others were injured in the crash. (KKTV 11 News)

• The Colorado Springs Police Academy recruits finished up their 20th week of training this week. The recruits practiced crowd control, DUI recognition, Tactical casualty combat care, traffic direction, driving training, and other reality-based scenarios. (Facebook)
• A winter storm system is taking shape for mid-week, with widespread snowfall and much colder temperatures. Snow will likely begin Tuesday morning over the Mountains and spread east over the Plains Tuesday afternoon. (Facebook)
• Kick off the 2022 Winter Olympics in Downtown Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA. Cheer Team USA on the jumbotron alongside Olympic and Paralympic athletes, take part in demonstrations, enjoy food, drinks, and live music on the Plaza. (Facebook)
