Denver Boy, 17, Shot: Crime Stoppers Reward

Ijah Hamilton was shot and killed Nov. 16 while a passenger in an auto stopped at N. Forest St. and E. Thrill Pl.

DENVER, CO -- Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of persons involved in the shooting death of a 17-year-old on Nov. 16. Ijah Hamilton was a passenger in a car stopped at a stop sign at East thrill Place and North Forest Street around 7:42 p.m. when a group of unknown persons approached the car and fired into the vehicle, police said.

Family of Hamilton have posted a GofundMe to help pay for Ijah Hamilton's funeral expenses and help his mother, Holli Berry, they said.

The loss of a bright, talented, funny, young man like Ijah is difficult to bare on its own, and with his passing being so close to the holidays, it presents added grief as well as added expense to ensure that his loved ones are able to pay their respects and say goodbye.

Another man in the car was injured, police said. Anyone with information about the shooting should call Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867, a notice said.
