2 Killed, 2 Injured In Denver New Year's Shooting: Police

As New Year's celebrations were under way, four were shot, two fatally, in lower downtown, police tweeted just before 4 a.m.

DENVER, CO β€” Two are dead, and two wounded in a quadruple shooting in lower downtown Denver in the pre-dawn hours of New Year's Day, according to police.

In an early morning tweet, police said three men and one woman were shot in the 1900- block of Blake Street. The woman and one of the men were pronounced dead at the scene, Denver police said. Two men were taken to the hospital, their conditions not provided by authorities

The Denver Channel reported police as saying the shooting happened as "New Year's celebrations were occurring at bars and clubs in the area."
