4 Killed In Highway 85 Head-On Crash Near CO, WY Border

Highway 85 remained closed Saturday morning as crews worked to clear the scene of the fatal two-car collision.

FORT COLLINS, CO — Four people are dead following a head-on crash that happened early Saturday morning on Highway 85 just south of the Colorado-Wyoming border.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Colorado State Patrol was called to a two-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 85 near mile marker 306. The crash involved a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and a 2006 Honda sedan, according to a spokesperson for the Colorado State Patrol.

Each vehicle had two occupants — a driver and one passenger, officials said. All four were pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities are still investigating what led to the crash. Identification of the victims is pending notification of family.
