9 Accused Of Trespassing At Denver Police Training Academy
Nine people trespassed onto academy grounds and damaged property, police said.

DENVER, CO — Nine people have been arrested in connection with a break-in Tuesday at the Denver Police Training Academy. The group damaged property on the academy grounds, police said.
Denver police officers said they saw the group trespassing on the campus, at 2155 N. Akron Way, around 9:30 p.m. An outside fence was damaged and signs were defaced, according to the Denver Police Department.
Officers quickly intervened and prevented further possible damage, police said.

"The arrestees’ intentions while trespassing remain under investigation," the department said in a news release.

Six vehicles were impounded in connection with the incident while the investigation is underway. Police are also searching for other possible suspects.
“If Denver residents have concerns and/or ideas about the future of policing in Denver, we encourage them to contact us and engage in productive dialogue,” Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen said in a statement.
“However, reckless efforts to harm people and property in our city are inexcusable and will not be tolerated.”
Two of the people who were arrested are juveniles, police said. Each person faces second-degree criminal trespass charges.
