Here are the top stories today in Denver:

  1. Two differing visions for Park Hill Golf Course presented. Despite the City of Denver's refusal to include a park plan, Yes for Parks and Open Space has come up with an alternative vision that would honor the existing conservation easement, and provide desperately needed open space in an area that has new development planned all around it. (9News)
  2. Gas prices lower than last month's peaks, but for how long? Gas prices continue to dip in metro Denver, and one station up north in Firestone had gas priced at $3.47 for regular unleaded. (FOX31)
  3. Parts of Netflix's new series "How to Build a Sex Room," filmed in Denver. High Noon productions chose to film in Denver because they decided that "Denver offered the best mix of personalities and interests for this show." (7News)
  4. Another fatal hit and run on East Colfax. Denver police are still searching for the driver of the fatal crash that occurred on July 11th. (CBS4)
  5. Colorado working other states to save the Colorado River. The two page plan that's been presented, does not include reducing water use in the upper half of the Colorado River Basin. The response stems from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's recent demand that those states that share the river, find a way to reduce their water consumption and present a cohesive plan by the end of August.
