'Barack Obama Highway' Proposed By Lawmaker For Part Of I-25
State Rep. Dan Pabon introduced a joint resolution to rename I-25 through the City of Denver after the 44th President of the US

DENVER, CO -- A state lawmaker introduced a bill to rename a portion of I-25 the "Barack Obama Highway."
Rep. Dan Pabon (D-Northwest Denver) proposed House Joint Resolution 18-1016 in the House.
If the bill passes the Democrat-controlled House and GOP-controlled Senate, the part of I-25 that goes through the City and County of Denver will be named after the 44th president of the United States.

It was in Denver in 2008 that Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention.
“If successful, Colorado would be the first state to honor President Obama in this way–commemorating his extraordinary message of hope and change that continues to inspire the nation,” Pabon wrote on his website.
