Black Friday Bomb Threat: Aurora Police Evacuate Best Buy Store
Arapahoe Co. Bomb squad used a robot to investigate a suspicious device found at the Southlands Mall Best Buy. The store remains closed.

AURORA, CO -- Aurora Police tweeted that they were responding to a suspicious device found at a Best Buy store in the Southlands Mall. At around 11 p.m. Friday, Police said as a precaution, they have evacuated the store and parking lot. Police tweeted that Aurora Fire Dept. and the Arapahoe Co. Bomb Squad were on the scene at 5999 S. Southlands Pkwy, in Aurora. Channel 9 Reporter Josh Whitston tweeted that a robot was being used to examine the object in the Best Buy store.
Police said the device was removed and would be examined by the Arapahoe Co. Bomb Squad. Officers remained at the store to continue to sweep for other devices or evidence, police said.
The store will remain closed for the evening.
