Broncos Make Plans For Return To Training Center, Stadium
Under strict guidelines, the Broncos will begin the process of reopening UCHealth Training Center and Empower Field at Mile High.

DENVER, CO — The Broncos have announced a schedule for reopening their training center and Empower Field at Mile High. The team's president and CEO Joe Ellis sent a memo to employees Saturday that outlined the timeline and guidelines.
"As we discussed during our virtual town halls this past week, things can change very quickly with the current environment that we are navigating along with the 31 other teams around the league," Ellis said.
National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to teams that said clubs could reopen Tuesday under strict guidelines.

The Broncos will begin implementing sanitary and safety measures at facilities Monday, the team said. The following week, a "small number" of employees will be allowed to return to the stadium and the UCHealth Training Center, but a date for when coaches and players can return has not yet been set. No more than 50 percent of the team's employees can return to work, and that number can't exceed 75 staff members.

"While we are one of the teams eligible to return under our conditions here in Colorado, we are not going to rush this important process," Ellis said. "It is important to note that in this current "Phase 1" of reopening, coaches and players are still not permitted in any teams' facilities for competitive balance reasons."
"With so many employees directly tied to supporting the coaches and players in various roles, this was another factor in our decision to not rush our return back to the office."
Before re-entering facilities, all Broncos employees will receive face masks and will have to participate in online safety training.
"The hope around the league is that Phase 1 of reopening demonstrates our ability to operate in a safe manner, allowing more staff (including coaches) to gradually return to the office soon," Ellis said. "Although there is currently no set timeline for when this next phase of expanded facility access could begin, we should remain prepared in the event that it occurs in the very near future."
