Niza Knoll Gallery

“Take a load off”, “make yourself comfortable”, “grab a spot”, “rest your bones”, “take a chair”— all ways one would normally welcome a guest—but whatever you do at Niza Knoll Gallery's new exhibition, “Have a Seat”, don’t actually sit down. Of the many chairs on display, some are too delicate and decorative, some are way too small, one is simply too monstrous, and some live only in frames on the wall, but all are perfect to view and enjoy as part of this juried exhibition. From April 17 - May 31, 2026, the space comes to life with everyday chairs transformed into works of art, and other artful depictions of the form. The public is invited to view the show during regular gallery hours Thursday–Sunday 1 – 4 p.m. and to the following special events:
Artist Reception: Third Friday, April 17, 5-8 p.m. 
First Friday Artwalk: May 1, 5-9 p.m. 
 
All manner of mediums were used to design the pieces, including paint, paper, clay, fabric, wood, foliage, found objects, markers and other mixed media. Not limited to 3-D work, the show also fills the walls with paintings as well as a photograph that captures the creative use of a chair in the wilds of city life.
The participating artists are Mary Lynn Baird, Leslie Belfor, Rita Bhasin, Jareth J. Charles, Deborah Deal, Victoria Eubanks, Kathy Friesz, Trish Gans, Eilee George, Nina Hausfeld, Deborah Jang, Brenda Jones, Steven Jones, AJ Kiel, Skylar K., Niza Knoll, Adrien Law II, Leona Lazar, Jennifer Lowell , Carol MacAllister, Aliki McCain, Heather Mckinnon, Kristy Melodia and Sophia Fierek, Bill Nelson, Katherine Reed, Brian Rendon, Lisa Riannson, Deb Rosenbaum, Carlos Santistevan, Elizabeth Shepardson and Stevie.
Niza Knoll Gallery at 915 Santa Fe Drive specializes in intriguing conceptual exhibits featuring work by local and regional artists as well as private concerts, guest speakers and workshops. Artists on Santa Fe at presents “Cacophony,” a show by member artist Kris Iltis, on view April1 7–May 11, 2026, at 747 Santa Fe Drive. The exhibition showcases her rich and riotous floral paintings created with bold brushwork and saturated bursts of color. Her artworks breathe life into a room through swaying patterns, bending pots, and an abundance of greenery among the blooms. “These paintings are not still life,” says the artist, “They are movement. They are noise. They are celebration.” 

The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, April 17, 5-8 p.m., during Third Friday at the Art District on Santa Fe, the First Friday Art Walk on May 1, 5-9 p.m., and to view the show during regular gallery hours.Spring hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 11 am to 5 pm and Sundays, Noon to 4 p.m., Open extended evening hours for art walks on the First and Third Friday of each month.

Bitfactory Gallery presents a posthumous retrospective of artwork by Centennial artist Gloria Schaller, on view April 17- May 9, 2026. The exhibition is a witness to the growth that happens throughout an artist’s carrier—the progression of their craft, ability, and eye. Her paintings, while featuring similar subject matter as traditional southwestern style art, offer an original, dramatic take on western landscapes. The public is invited to an opening reception on April 17, 6-9 p.m., and to stop by 851 Santa Fe Drive during the May 1, First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe Drive and during regular gallery hours as listed below.
Schaller’s abstract paintings distill the very essence of desert monuments, expansive western vistas and the minutest of nooks and crannies. She skillfully captures the essence of her subjects, their awe-inspiring presence, exotic contours, diverse textures, and the kaleidoscope of colors that develop from the intricate play of light. Her works are powerful and compelling, amplifying the spirit of these landscapes. 
Schaller passed away in 2017 and her family is proud to honor her memory through her artwork. Until 2025, her works had not been on display to the public in 20 years. During her career she was an active member of the Heritage Fine Arts Guild in Littleton and the Foothills Art Center in Golden. She exhibited in solo exhibitions and many major juried exhibitions of the time, winning several awards. Schaller also participated annually in the KRMA Art Auction, and her works are in numerous private collections throughout the country.
