September Golden Hour MashUp: Where the West Lives

Spend a September evening exploring Golden as businesses across town stay open late and put on unique and collaborative activations for the Golden Hour MashUp, Wednesday, September 16th from 6 - 9 p.m.

With a "Where the West Lives" theme, the September Golden MashUp features live music, shopping, family activities, local food and drinks, art experiences, bike demonstrations, craft stations, giveaways and more. Participating businesses throughout downtown, North Golden and South Golden will offer unique activities, specials, pop-up experiences and collaborations. 

Golden’s beloved Shiny Sphere Search is “mashing up” with the Golden Hour MashUp by hiding two gorgeous blown glass orbs along Washington Avenue just before the 6 p.m. start of the MashUp. The Shiny Sphere Search is a fun annual tradition put on by anonymous art loving volunteers who cherish the Golden community. Every day in September, they hide a beautiful glass orb somewhere in the city and post clues on Instagram. Learn more at @shinyspheresearch. 

The free Golden Hour MashUps are designed to connect people with local businesses and one another with a lively, fun evening filled with cool collaborations and happenings throughout the city. Find more information at www.cityofgolden.gov/community/golden_hour_mashup.php.

The event is free to attend; food, beverages and purchases available at participating businesses. There is also an October Golden Hour MashUp scheduled for October 14, 2026.
