Caught On Video: Burglar Hitches Pants And Robs Denver Garage

A homeowner's security video captured film of a man who allegedly burglarized a car in a Denver garage in the 1100 block of Washington.

DENVER, CO -- An alleged Denver burglar was caught by a homeowner's video security system entering a garage where items were stolen from the car parked inside, Denver police said. A $2,000 Crime Stoppers reward was offered for tips leading to the arrest of the man who glanced up at the camera before entering the garage in the 1100 block of Washington on Nov. 30, 2017.

The 23-second video shows a silver late model compact car stopping in the alley near the open garage, then driving forward a few feet and stopping again. A white man wearing a red hoodie over an open plaid shirt and black shirt exits the car, puts something into his mouth and hitches up his saggy jeans. He then enters the garage. The video does not show the man leaving the garage with anything.

According to Denver police, items were taken from the victim's car.
