Here are the top stories in Denver today:
- Colorado's glaciers are impacted by warmer temperatures. Over the past few summers, higher than normal temperatures have evaporated many of Colorado's glaciers. (7News)
- Colorado ski towns boomed during the pandemic, but some worry that the boom is over. Towns like Crested Butte and Breckenridge saw record numbers of visits during the pandemic, and for many ski towns, it seemed like the whole world suddenly discovered the lure of outdoor adventure. But the rush to the great outdoors may not last should the economy hit a rough patch. (CPR)
- Body identified 23 years after being found in near the South Platte River. The long unidentified body has been identified as Preston Christensen, 52, whose body was found in North Denver near the South Platte River, more than two decades after his disappearance. (Patch)
- Marijuana sales hit rock bottom as prices hit record low. Marijuana sales in Colorado have hit a three-year low. Sales have falling 22 percent on a year-over-year basis. Many blame the drop off on the end of the pandemic along with other state's legalization of recreational marijuana. (Westword)
- Denver's e-bike rebate program's funding running out of money. The City of Denver's Office of Climate Action, Sustainability & Resiliency has spent the entirety of the $9 million it had allotted for the e-bike rebate program. Hopes are high that City Council will come through with more funding for the wildly popular program. (Denverite)
