Illegal Gun In Carryon Bag: Rep. Lori Saine Arrested At DIA
Rep. Lori Saine (R-Dacono) reportedly had a loaded Kahr Arms 9mm semi-auto handgun in her carry-on bag when she was arrested at DIA.

DENVER, CO -- Denver police arrested a Colorado lawmaker Tuesday for illegally possessing a firearm at Denver International Airport, police confirmed. Republican State Rep. Lori Saine (R-Dacono) was taken into custody at DIA around 1:45 p.m. for carrying a gun into a transportation facility, which is a class-six felony, a Denver police public information officer confirmed.
Saine reportedly had a loaded Kahr Arms 9mm semi-auto handgun in her carry-on bag, which was spotted by TSA agents at DIA's north screening checkpoint. Saine was taken to the Denver Detention Center, where she was booked.
"Saine is currently being held for Investigation of Introduction of a Firearm into a Transportation Facility," The Denver Police said in an email. "The investigation is ongoing, so additional details are not available for release at this time. At the conclusion of the investigation, the case will be presented to the Denver District Attorney’s Office for consideration of possible charges."

Detectives will present the case within 72 hours to Denver District Attorney Beth McCann's office to find out if charges will be filed against Saine.
Saine serves on the Agriculture, Livestock, & Natural Resources, Legislative Council and Legislative Audit Committees. She was sponsor this year of an unsuccessful bill that sought to rollback prohibitions on extra-large gun magazines in Colorado.
