DENVER, CO -- An Aurora man was charged with the early-morning hit and run that killed pedestrian Steven Glade, 26, near Coors Field Aug. 26. Denver District Atty. Beth McCann charged Adrian Escalante, 28, with one count of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of vehicular homicide. Escalante was arrested outside his Aurora home on Sept. 9.

Escalante was allegedly driving a black Land Rover at high speeds at around two a.m. and struck Glade as he crossed the street near Coors Field at the intersection of 20th and Blake Streets.
"Escalante further allegedly fled the scene in the vehicle, triggering a metro area traffic alert for the vehicle’s whereabouts and the issuance of a CrimeStoppers bulletin," a statement from the District's Atty's office said.
Escalante is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 27, 2017.
