  1. 2022 was the most deadly year for traffic fatalities in Colorado since 1981. The Colorado Department of Transportation has recorded 750 traffic-related deaths in Colorado in 2022. That's an increase of 78 deaths from 2021, when 672 people died on Colorado roads. State officials are working to implement a comprehensive plan to address the rising trend in traffic fatalities.   2. CHAN assists migrants when they arrive in Denver. Colorado Hosting Asylum Network is a nonprofit organization that supports asylum seekers to get work authorization and apply protection in the U.S. CHAN's services usually includes providing an immigration attorney at no or low cost. (Gazette)
  3. Police haven't found evidence that employees at a Centennial Taco Bell poisoned the soft tacos. Investigators on the case of a man who claims that he ate tacos with rat poison in them, have no evidence that the employees at Taco Bell put the rat poison in the food. (Westword)
  4. Pikes Peak Library District in Colorado Springs is testing their branches for meth contamination. Methamphetamine contamination is a serious health concern, as the drug can leave behind residue that can be harmful to those who come into contact with it. The Pikes Peak Library District decided to take a proactive approach, and is testing all 15 of their library locations for contamination. (KRDO)
  5. Winter storm moving in early next week could bring more cold and snow. A storm on Monday is set to bring potentially big impacts to the Denver metro area. (CBS4)
